A few days from the start, Wine Expogusto reveals a rich palimpsest of appointments and experiences open to the public and professionals.
22 September 2016 – With just a few days to the cutting of the ribbon, WINE EXPOGUSTO – planned from Friday, 30 September to Sunday, 2 October at the spaces of Arezzo Fiere, the most important trade show and convention centre in central Italy – presents a program filled with initiatives and meetings, appointments and occasions for study created for professionals and enthusiasts.
Exceptional organisational efforts were put in place for the second edition of WINE EXPOGUSTO which for 3 days will involve 150 exhibitors distributed over a total area of more than 7,000 sq.m. Companies participating have been chosen to represent the best of agricultural food production. Key exhibitors at WINE EXPOGUSTO, along with the many winemakers, will be producers of artisan beers, coffees and teas, desserts and chocolates, cheeses, legumes and cereals, honey, preserves and marmalade, extra virgin olive oil, vinegars, bread and baked goods, pasta and rice, fruits and vegetables, fish, salt and spices, meat, cured meats and sausages… and much more. Many international buyers are expected to attend since WINE EXPOGUSTO offers an efficient network favouring BtoB relationships.
The rich programme of related initiatives includes more than 20 learning opportunities from seminars to cooking shows. WINE EXPOGUSTO is not only an exhibition but an experience interpreting the extraordinary heritage of traditional specialties that make Italian production unique. Particular attention is given to quality and products recognised as authentic representations of the territory. An extraordinary occasion to bring to the forefront products of excellence and artisans who protect quality and diversity.
WINE EXPOGUSTO could not happen without a necessary moment of reflection and solidarity for the land and people recently affected by the earthquake. Friday, 30 September the first evening of the trade fair will conclude with a special aperitif entitled An Evening for Rebuilding from 18 to 21:30 with products coming from companies hit by the earthquake in the province of Rieti. Proceeds from the event will be donated to the DSE (Department of Solidarity and Emergencies) of the Federazione Italiana Cuochi. With the objective of involving the greatest number of participants, admission to the trade fair beginning at 18.00 Friday will be free and the cost of the aperitif – €20 – will be entirely donated in support of the earthquake areas. The initiative was made possible by the involvement of numerous partners of the fair such as Federazione Italiana Cuochi, Unione Regionale Cuochi Toscana and Associazione cuochi di Arezzo. These associations offer a rich calendar of cooking-shows that will entertain during the three days in Arezzo.
One of the most awaited moments of the event takes place on 16:30 Sunday, 2 October at the auditorium of the Arezzo Fiere convention centre. It is the final, open to the public of the Best Sommelier in Tuscany which will decide the finalist that will have the right to participate in the next Best Sommelier in Italy. The initiative is promoted and created by A.I.S. Toscana which also coordinates the AIS Wine School dedicated to the diffusion of wine and where daily tastings are held for groups of 20/30 participants. Thanks to the collaboration with AIS Toscana, visitors can also refer to a Wine Tutor, a dedicated person for those interested in visiting the event with a professional taster and real guide alongside who is able to evaluate the most significant aspects of the wines from the wineries present at the fair.
